Spaghetti Aglio E Olio
Simple yet delectable Rumen with an Italian Twist
Spaghetti Aglio e olio is probably the easiest Italian recipe one can make, and it’s delicious!
Spaghetti Aglio e olio means spaghetti with garlic and of course, Olive oil.
There are other ingredients you can add, like peperoncino flakes, fresh parsley & ground black pepper. But it’s recommended to use the basic needed ingredients because it’s extremely simple and tastes delicious as it is.
It’s also a very popular choice for Vegetarian lovers.
Some grated cheese on top makes it full of flavour adding a topping to your cravings.

1. Bring a large pot of cold water to a boil over high heat, then salt it generously. Add
the pasta and cook, stirring occasionally until cooked to be firm, tender but not
mushy, about 8-10 minutes.
2. While the pasta cooks, combine the garlic, Oleev Extra Virgin olive oil, 1 teaspoon
salt and the red pepper flakes in a large skillet and warm over low heat, stirring
occasionally, until the garlic softens and turns golden, about 7-8 minutes.
3. Drain the pasta in a colander set in the sink, reserving about 1/4 cup of the cooking
water. Add the pasta and the reserved water to the garlic mixture. Add the parsley
and lemon zest (if using). Adjust seasoning, to taste and mix well. Serve topped with
grated cheese, if desired.
